Admin Module for Drupal - A+!!!

I wanted to make sure I let anyone and everyone know about the fantastic new Drupal module known simply as "Admin." For years I have heard people gripe about Drupal's admin screens as being too confusing and convoluted. Many people, mostly the less "techie" folks (marketing managers in charge of maintaining a corporate website) like Joomla's admin area better because it offers big candy-like icons and buttons for performing administrative functions. It gives you a feeling of ease. The Root Candy admin theme was a step in the right direction, but really not much more than a pretty face.

Would-be Drupal advocates, gripe no more. The Admin module offers a much needed and very comprehensive update to Drupal's back-end. And apparently the project out of which this module sprang is all about testing out the Drupal 7 admin interface design theories using us D6-ers as guinea pigs. Regardless of its ultimate intent, the Admin module is a true thing of beauty for both advanced Drupal-ers and novices alike. It allows you to customize your admin experience so that people who aren't super comfortable with Drupal can easily add, modify, or update content. The styling is superb and makes visual tasks much easier. The only thing that bothers me is the location of very important functional tabs (example: the "View - Edit" tabs when writing a new node) are waaaaay over on the right side of my very wide screen, and fairly inconspicuous also. Making those a little more visible might be nice.

If you are running a Drupal 6 site that needs a nice back-end area to make it easy for novices to post content, we highly suggest you check this puppy out. We've been running it on this site for several weeks and it has been pretty fantastic.

Nice. I was actually considering building something like this. Now I can just focus on streamlining my starter theme.

Better hurry up with the starter theme!  There are several options already and more/better on the way!!!

Thanks for recomendations! I have foud the information (at http://www.picktorrent.com) that with this module, all you have to do is check the checklist and you know exactly what was done. Further, it places a date stamp next to each item as you complete it so now you have a complete record that you can show clients or refer to in the future. I think it's a powerful organization tool, as well.
